SC Works Trident to Host First Drive-Thru Job Fair

Press Release

SC Works Trident will host its first drive-thru hiring event of the fall this Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm at its main office at 1930 Hanahan Road in North Charleston.

In partnership with a host of regional employers to include W-International and SC Department of Corrections, the drive-thru will help create a safer space for job seekers searching for new career opportunities at the event and provide a faster way to receive job information.

“COVID has changed the way we provide support to our regional job seekers as we closely follow social distancing recommendations,” said Sharon Goss, the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments workforce development director. “Having a drive-thru job fair allows us to continue serving the tri-county safely by allowing attendees to stay in their vehicles while still receiving the same high level of support.”

SC Works Trident encourages attendees to be prepared for the event by following these guidelines:

Individuals who would like to meet with onsite employers must check “Meet Onsite” on the pre-registration form. There are a limited number of slots to visit with employers in person, so attendees are encouraged to pre-register as soon as possible before slots fill.

Those who do not pre-register should be prepared to provide some information to staff on site.

SC Works Trident will provide resume’ assistance to job seekers interested in the event by visiting and booking an appointment with a career coach.

SC Works Trident comprises one-stop centers in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. SC Works Trident offers a variety of services to help employers and job seekers meet their workforce development needs.  For the latest on SC Works, visit
