After a long summer of quarantine, Gale is back open on the peninsula. The restaurant opened earlier this year, but it happened happened a week before the COVID-related shut down.
Although Gale started serving pizza to-go in June, General Manager Katie Daly said the staff is happy to re-open the restaurant's doors with socially distanced tables, bar seats, and a few tables outside.
Gale is offering both dine in and take out service. There is a new cocktail menu and wine program with new fall menu items.
Gale is a family owned restaurant with a pan-Mediterranean inspired menu with a "back bone of Italian style shared family meals." It is open Wednesday through Monday 5 pm to 10 pm for dinner, while the bar stays open until 11 pm on weekends. Gale is located at 601 Meeting Street (in the Meeting Street Lofts building).
Chef/Owner Brett Chizinski previously worked at Sorghum and Salt, Kwei Fei, and Basic Kitchen. Daly spent time with Le Farfalle, SAVI Cucina + Wine Bar, and TU.
