Joe Cunningham Raises $1.8 Million in Q3, Total Now Over $6.1 million for Re-Election Bid

With a third quarter haul of $1.8 million, Rep. Joe Cunningham has raised a total of over $6.1 million towards his re-election bid for South Carolina’s First Congressional District – shattering South Carolina’s previous House fundraising record of $4,739,094 held by Rep. Joe Wilson’s 2010 campaign.

Cunningham has now more than doubled his 2018 fundraising total of $2.3 million.

“Joe has spent the past two years reaching across the aisle and fighting for Lowcountry families in Washington,” campaign manager Allie Watters said. “Whether it’s been passing a bill to ban offshore drilling or being ranked the fourth most bipartisan member of Congress, voters know that Joe has kept his promises again and again – so it’s no surprise they’re working so hard to get him re-elected. Our record-breaking fundraising haul shows that the Lowcountry is ready to send Joe back to Congress in November.”

Rep. Cunningham's opponent, Nancy Mace, announced a third quarter fundraising haul of $2.3 million, which tops the congressman's total for the same period by $500,000.
